Quick, pretty tasty, great value and really good staff. I've been here three times and think this place is perfect if you need a fast, cheap pizza which is what I'm looking for when heading out of the town on 94. A 30 minute detour off the interstate and I can get a made to order pizza and drink for under $15. Perfect. No, this isn't a pie that's going to make my Top 10 Pizza list but for the money its pretty damn good - especially since you get to pick the exact toppings and the exact quantities that you want. Best of all - every time I've been there the staff has been amazing. Friendly, helpful and efficient.

If you want a custom-made pie with unlimited toppings substantive enough to feed two for around 8 bucks, this is the chain for you! This is a "Chipotle-style" walk-through-the-assembly-line-we-make-it-right-in-front-of-you type of restaurant. And it's actually kind of fun, and the combination of available toppings you can put on a pizza here is vastly more than what's available at Chipotle. Seriously, if you get a pie with a handful of toppings you can easily split it between two people for a light lunch. On the other hand, don't expect gourmet pizza. The crust is probably made from frozen dough and more toppings doesn't translate to a better pizza (which is a tempting thing to do!). I have had much worse pizza at a place in southwest Minneapolis where they charge you $17 + tax + tip for a comparatively inferior pie. Pieology offers a deal that can't be easily beaten.

Decided to stop in and try Pieology on a Monday night. We have seen this place a few times while driving on Main street. It seemed like a busy place and we love pizza so we decided to try it out for ourselves. Walking in it does feel like a Chipotle except for pizza's. You get your choice of 3 crusts. I opted for a Wheat Crust while the GF got the white house crust. I was a little disappointed when after ordering our crust it was pulled out from behind the server on a pizza plate ready to go. The crusts look pre made or are pre made as they are perfectly round and although I didn't measure it I would be willing to bet that it was 11.5 inches almost exactly. I then got the 3 cheese Alfredo sauce(pick your own sauce/everything) with some fresh veggies and some chicken to top it off. The pizza was cooked very well. The only thing I didn't like was the bottom of the pizza was covered in crumbs. Kind of like the oven had a bunch of crumbs in it and the pizza was placed on top of those crumbs and were now on the bottom of my pizza. The crust was solid and crispy and didn't drop any toppings. However it tasted like a premade crust. I will say its way better than another popular pizza place in Maple Grove that is across the Main road from this place. For the price you can't beat it. $8.00 a pizza was cheap. I'll be sure to bring the kiddos over to make their own pizza's for that price. On a Monday evening the place was pretty quiet and we got our food fast. We did have to use cash because their register wasn't connected to the internet but that wasn't their fault. Overall it was a solid 3. If you like Neopolitan style pizza it's decent. It's like going to Chipotle or Taco bell for Tacos and nachos instead of going to Los Ocampos.

La la la, Mona mi, pizzzzzaaaaa! Since Pizza Lola came into my life I have a new found appreciation for pizza. Pieology Pizza is like Chipotle of pizzas, but does it measure up. Thumbs up: -Prices, you won't have to shell out too much dough to get some dough here -Made in front of you, made fresh to order you could say -Decent C.S. -Clean and new place -Decent pizza not the best, not the worst. If you're looking for a bang for your buck, fast pizza joint here it is. Better then Little Caesar or $5 pizza, but can't hold a flame to Lola or Jets. It's a kind of in between place. -Plenty of parking -Multiple locations Thumbs down: -Doesn't live up to the hype -The salads are pre made, boxed up. Will come back for some fast decent pizza, but won't go out of my way for it.

My first experience with Pieology was a good one. My wife and I stopped in tonight to check it out and came away pretty impressed with Maple Grove's newest food joint. The premise is simple; order as many cheeses, meats, and toppings as you want with your choice of sauce and you get it all on an 11" pie for $7.95. I think it's a great price point for a decent sized made-to-order pizza. Think of it as Subway for pizza. The possibilities are endless! (Perhaps not literally, mathematically speaking, but you get the point.) You walk up to the counter, select your sauce, choose your cheese, make your picks for toppings and meat, and they load your custom creation into the open oven as you watch and wait for your fresh grilled pie to finish. It takes approximately 5 minutes, which is ridiculously fast. As we waited, the manager came over to thank us for visiting and let us know that they will soon be getting a license to serve beer and wine, and that they will have a patio out front come warmer weather. We took our pizzas to go since we had hungry dogs at home waiting for their own non-pizza dinners, and they loaded up our boxes with a nice bag that keeps the pizzas upright. Great idea that I've never seen at any other pizza places. Get to the point, right?! Ok. The pizza was fantastic! I had pepperoni, ham, roasted red peppers, green peppers, and onions with mozzarella, parmesan, and red sauce. The crust was crispy around the edges and somewhat soft in the center, which I loved because overly crunchy thin crust is a nightmare to me. The flavor was phenomenal and I cannot wait to try more combinations. Overall, a great experience with awesome food and customer service! Highly recommend.

Went to visit Mom in Maple Grove, and she wanted to try out this new place. We headed over there, and it turns out they weren't quite open yet BUT they were slinging free pizzas to train the staff for opening. Sweet. First of all, the line didn't move very quickly, and it was pretty loud in there. There also seemed to be a bit of a bottleneck issue as the only menu in the joint is located just inside the doors main doors. For now, until I go again on a regular day, I'll just chalk it up to the hectic training environment and make claims only on the food. And the food was good. The pizza seems to fall somewhere in between any chain pizza and a Punch pizza. Each pizza is prepped and fired to order, and the crust is thin and crispy. I wasn't impressed with their topping selection, which is a pretty short list and includes your basic meats, cheeses, vegetables, and seasonings, plus bbq and buffalo sauce options which I found odd. Considering their name, "Pieology," and the fact that they refer to their menu pizzas as "from the lab," I'd expect their toppings and menu pizzas to be a bit more extensive and crazier. Build-your-own type restaurants stress me out. I'm an expert in eating pizza, but not in curating its toppings. So I ordered the three-cheese pizza off the menu and threw a couple tomato slices on it. It was a good pizza, I'd recommend it, but what made it great was the pepper. Looks like they put freshly ground pepper on every pie, making their pizzas different from other shops and DELICIOUS. And it's pretty cheap. **thumbs up emoji*** Note: Ma order the three-meat pizza off the menu and put some peppers and mushrooms on it, which were raw when she got her pizza. She was into it, you might be too, but I like my toppings a little bit cooked. Also, LOL at their logo, a blatant impersonation of the Chipotle logo. And the interior reminds me of a fro-yo place, for what it's worth.

First tried Pieology on a trip to Mankato and have since been to the Maple Grove location a few times. Closest thing to it near me is Punch Pizza and I definitely rate Pieology better than punch! Better range of toppings and crust options - and cheaper. #1 thing I crave now wish there was a location around Chanhassen/ Minnetonka/ Eden Prairie. Would definitely be more of a regular and would most definitely want to work here I love the vibe. Honestly just in love

First pizza was waaaaay overdone...and it was the shift manager who brought it out to me. They gave me a second but I had been waiting a total of 40 minutes by the time that came out, even though there was never more than 4 people in line. The second pie had entirely different amounts of ingredients on it than the first (I didn't give any direction regarding quantity on the first one). While getting a refill on my water I noticed that no 2 pizzas had the same doneness....all different. They also tongue-lashed an employee in the seating area just 10' from me. Realistically if I could give it less than one star, I would.

Meh. I really wanted to like this place. But meh. I thought this was a Chipotle brand. The signage, fixtures and decor is very similar. It is not owned by Chipotle. Good tactic for getting people in, I suppose. Pros: 1) Similar to Chipotle, you order from the line with whichever toppings you'd like. The list is pretty extensive and you can add as many or as few as you'd like for the same price. 2) The pizza is good sized. 3) Wood fired is always good. Cons: 1) I didn't care for the crust. It's a strange consistency for wood fired. Not the typical crispy thin crust you'd expect. Topping ingredients are fine. Nothing special. My husband would argue it was the most bland pizza he's ever had. 2) It's kind of slow. 3) The manager on duty was working the register and prepping cooked pizzas to go out. I watched him run out of BBQ sauce half way through my pizza and then deliver unfinished rather than refill. Overall, it's a good idea in theory but it's not working for this particular chain. I question quality when the manager is cutting corners. I won't be going back.

Delicious pizza at a great prize. The build your own option allows you to add all the ingredients you want, and the staff will add as much as you would like.

I was very skeptical as I love Punch pizza but this place did not disappoint. The staff is very fun and friendly. Patio will open this summer and the manager said they will also be getting a liquor license. Good food at a good price point! I will be back!

I don't think anyone is as big of a Pizza critic as I am.. and I think I have definitely found myself a home Pizza joint. I was very pleased with how well trained everybody was in a such short amount of time. Whenever I came in their customer service is beyond appreciative, friendly, and caring. Everyone greets you with smiles and bring out a nice comfortable environment whether you're a new customer or coming back they remember faces!! Now the Pizza's a top notch! Coming from a state that is known for Deep Dish Pizza's, Pieology has out done themselves! I was never a fan of thin crust until I walked in here one day and had my taste buds blown away! The crust is the best part which is always fresh and crispy and doesn't feel like I'm biting down on cardboard. With that being said, everyone needs to go in and prove me wrong!

Inconsistent. My bbq chicken pizza was very good, but my wife's was burned, sent it back and they brought out another burned one and on the wing crust. Very noisy.

Fantastic for the price. In my opinion, a far better final product than Punch Neapolitan Pizza. Keep up the good work!

I love this place ! Best new pizza in the twin cities. I mainly visit the highland location, but when I visit my mother I eat at this one. Service is great, the associates Always seem to be on point, very friendly and helpful . This place really has it together, and the thin crust personal pizzas are pretty incredible to say the least .

Love the food here!!!! Staff is super friendly and very accommodating of my 10 month old. They made part of my pizza just for her so I didn't have to order a separate one. My husband got the meat pizza and I got the Gorgonzola BBQ chicken and loved it!! I would give it 5 stars except there's no changing table in either bathroom. Otherwise very kid friendly with awesome pizza!

I went to Pieology for the first time today and needless to say I was not impressed. I ordered a simple pizza, sausage, pep, mushroom. I asked them to cook it well done, In fact I told two of the employees to make sure it was well done. I got to the register and asked for a water. I was told that they were "out" of water cups and was not offered anything. I sat and watched my pizza come out of the oven at least five minutes before I received it. It was finally given to me in a box because they were "out" of the paper they use to serve it on a tray. My pizza was not only underdone but it had burnt corn meal on the bottom of the crust.

Great pizza at an affordable price! The crust is super thin and crisp, and doesn't fall flaccid like the pizza place down the block (Punch).
